If you're unfamiliar, the Mini Bike Special at Herston involves buying cheap kids' bikes on Facebook marketplaces or Gumtree, then bombing down hills and attempting jumps (depending on bravery!). This year marked our first participation, and it was all about big smiles, small wheels, and tons of laughs and honestly heaps of cardio, my calves are still burning. Unfortunately, we started with a broken wrist off the first jump, but we kept the train rolling.
We made some small challenges, but the main focus was on fun and community building. After all, Bellmott is more about the people behind the coffee than the coffee itself. Until next year! Watch the recap video here! (link to video)
